Q + A

🎉 Wedding Things

Where should we stay for the wedding?

If you're flying into Auckland, we recommend staying in Auckland at least for the evening of the welcome drinks.

Josh and Grace will be in Auckland until the 7th Jan, and will be heading to Waiheke from 7th till 10th Jan.

Important note - when booking accommodation on Waiheke, please book from 7th Jan onwards only as the welcome drinks on 6th are located separately in Auckland.

We suggest that international guests book at least two nights on Waiheke Island to allow enough time to enjoy the many wineries and beaches. More Waiheke details on the 'Travel' page.

We recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible, as options—especially for larger groups or families—are limited.

When should I RSVP by?

We ask guests to kindly RSVP by 1 July 2025

Staying on Waiheke - Will there be transport organised to the wedding?

Yes! For those already staying on the island on the day of the wedding, we will be organising a shuttle to pick up guests from their accommodation to Mudbrick on the day of the wedding.

We will update this section on timings closer to the wedding date. We recommend staying on Waiheke for international travelers!

Staying in Auckland - Will there be transport organised to the wedding?

For those traveling from Auckland on the wedding day, we recommend taking the 2 PM ferry, arriving on Waiheke at 2:45 PM. A shuttle will take guests from the terminal to Mudbrick, where you'll have an hour to enjoy the beautiful Hauraki Gulf views and a glass of wine before the ceremony.

More details on transport timings will be posted closer to the date.

Will there be transport organised from Mudbrick at the end of the night?

At the end of the night, there will be shuttles organized to take large groups of guests back to the ferry or accommodations.

We will be sending out return shuttle options in our RSVP's to get an idea of numbers and preferred return times.

Are children welcome to join?

Little ones are invited to join welcome drinks at Saint Alice on January 6th.

On the day of the wedding, we welcome children of overseas guests to celebrate with us during the ceremony and cocktail hour (4pm - 6.30pm). And kindly request the dinner and dancing portion of the evening to be adults-only.

We will be organizing on-site babysitters for the duration of the dinner reception (6.30pm - 1am) for overseas guests. Please get in touch with Grace if you will be bringing your little one(s) so we can get accurate numbers (whatsapp: +6585860852).

What is the dress code for the events?

Come in fun, colorful, and casual dress for the welcome drinks.

Our dress code for the wedding is cocktail (less formal than black tie but a bit more than smart casual)

Is there carparking at the wedding venue?

Yes, there is car parking available at Mudbrick.

When should we start booking accomodation?

Waiheke can get busy over the summer months and with it being an island, options can be limited. We would recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible. See the "Travel" section for accommodation recommendations
